An atmosphere full of mysticism, the culture that surrounds it, its warm service and its ancestral aromas and flavors have been part of our restaurant from the very first moment. Therefore, as part of the fifth anniversary of Pischán Restaurant, we proudly celebrate another year of incredible experiences.

And in order to do so in an unforgettable way, we want to take you on a journey through five of our favorite moments.

1. The beginning of everything

There is no better way to start commemorating Pischán’s anniversary than where it all began; the inauguration on July 21st, 2019. From that moment on, we have evolved, creating and innovating in the art of Mayan gastronomy.

Thanks to the vision we took, we have been able to share with our guests the traditional flavors of the region of Coba and the best of gourmet cuisine.

Maintaining for five long years, the commitment to promote the Mayan culture through unique culinary experiences, and of course, delicious.

2. The Dark Dinner: A great initiative

This is the name of one of our favorite initiatives that has taken place since we started operating. In which inspired by the “Earth Hour” we join the global initiative to turn off the lights for an hour to give the planet a break.

Which we do in an extra special way; through the Dark Dinner, held on the last Saturday of March, where we invite more people to join this movement through a fantastic dinner full of sensory experiences.

This is an event that we carry out in the dark, allowing us to enhance the gastronomic pleasures of the Mayan cuisine and the harmony of its ingredients through taste and smell.

3. Recognition from Forbes

Undoubtedly one of our most memorable recognitions, and one that we gladly remember during Pischán’s fifth anniversary, is the mention we received in 2021 from Forbes, one of the most reliable global sources in journalism.

Especially, because it’s a recognition of our effort to offer much more than a gastronomic service, and instead provide diners with a complete experience. As in Pischán you will not only find an explosion of flavors, but also an environment full of mysticism.

The magazine has highlighted the restaurant as an enchanting place worth visiting to get away from the typical tourist routes. Plus, it has praised the warmth and friendliness that permeates the establishment.

4. The Corn Festival

Another event that we are pleased to celebrate annually is the “Festival del Maíz”, which takes place at the end of October and beginning of November. Here we joyfully celebrate the traditions and customs that come with Hanal Pixán.

For this reason, we consider this to be one of the best events that we have carried out during the last five years. Mainly because it is a gastronomic event that pays homage to the history, culture and traditions associated with the Day of the Dead.

5. The Sluurpy Emblem

Finally, one of our most recent achievements that we cannot leave out as we celebrate Pischán’s fifth anniversary, is the award we have received from Sluurpy; a website specializing in restaurants and culinary experiences.

Since last September, this site awarded the restaurant the highly coveted “badge of recommendation” for having achieved excellence in the Sluurpy barometer, with a score of 99/100.

A result obtained based on its score on TripAdvisor, Google, Restaurant guru and its social networks. Thus making it one of the best restaurants in Cobá, something we are undoubtedly proud to commemorate this year.
