If you are a lover of good food and want to give a special touch to your trip to the Yucatán Peninsula, mark your calendar! And this year, get ready to immerse yourself in a world of flavors, culture and unforgettable experiences with the following not-to-be-missed events in Cobá.
From themed dinners to festivals that celebrate traditions, at Pischán Restaurant, we invite you to discover four of the most anticipated events of the year that you won’t want to miss.
As in the rest of the world, during the month of love, Cobá is filled with delicacies, flowers and chocolates to celebrate lovers. However, it also gives you the opportunity to taste this sweet treat in a totally different way.
And this is done through the Du Xocholat Dinner, a culinary experience consisting of five courses, where chocolate is the star of the night.
This dinner transports guests to a world of exquisite flavors, where each dish is inspired by the “fruit of the gods”. From chocolate truffles to main courses with surprising touches, the Du Xocholat Dinner at Pischan Restaurant is a feast you won’t want to miss.
In addition, the restaurant is replete with sensory add-ons that will make your visit one-of-a-kind. Like the soft music, soft lights and the sounds of the Mayan jungle.
As a special menu, this event only takes place during the month of February. For more details and/or to reserve your place, click on the button below to receive personalized assistance.
Once winter is over, spring brings several unmissable events in Cobá. In addition to the incredible blessings of spring, Pischán Restaurant invites travelers and food lovers to immerse themselves in a unique experience with the “Cena Dark”
A gastronomic adventure inspired by Earth Hour, which consists of unplugging all electronic devices for an hour at night to protect the environment. Transforming the way we enjoy food by immersing ourselves in total darkness.
With your vision deactivated, your other senses are heightened, allowing you to appreciate every taste, aroma and texture in a whole new way. In addition, each year features the special participation of a guest Chef to create a unique menu.
Due to the fact that it is a dinner in honor of Earth Hour, it will only be available on the last Saturday of March, which is when the event takes place worldwide. Find out more details through @Pischanmx.
To be part of this gastronomic experience, reserve your place in advance.
November and October are months of great cultural value in Mexico and the Mayan areas, since at the end and beginning of these months, respectively, the Day of the Dead, or better known in the Mayan world as Hanal Pixán, is celebrated.
Apart from traditional delicacies such as Pan de Muerto, typical costumes and altars, Cobá comes alive with the Corn Festival, an event that goes beyond food to offer a complete cultural experience.
Here you can enjoy traditional food, participate in workshops to learn more about Mexican culture and cuisine, as well as immerse yourself in the local music and customs. Making it one of the best events in Coba.
This incredible Day of the Dead festival is celebrated on October 31st at Pischán Restaurant and Aldea Cobá Hotel. To take advantage of special lodging packages and deals, we recommend you to stay tuned at @Aldeacoba.
To close the year on a high note, you can’t miss the Christmas and New Year’s Eve Special Dinners. Whether you prefer traditional or international flavors, at Coba you can find a special menu to satisfy even the most demanding palate.
And what’s even more interesting, if you wish, with the help of Pischán Restaurant you can reinvent your Christmas dinner Yucatán style or book a luxurious evening with exquisite dishes and a festive atmosphere that will surely make you feel the magic of the season.
As expected, both dinners take place at the end of December on the traditional dates. The Christmas dinner takes place on December 24th and the New Year’s Eve dinner on December 31st.
