At Pischán Restaurant, we know that cooking is much more than the preparation of food; it is an art form that unites cultures, communities and emotions. That’s why, today more than ever, as we celebrate International Chef’s Day, we want to invite you to discover those dishes that make us proud.
Especially because they come from the hand of our chef, José Itzincab. An expert in the culinary art that stands out for his creativity and ability to fuse flavors and culinary traditions
This October 20th, join us and enjoy a true tribute to Mayan gastronomy!
We begin our culinary journey with the Pischán Salmon, a sample of culinary creativity at its best. It fuses the freshness of salmon with the richness of authentic Mole Poblano.
This is cooked on the grill and served over a mirror of Mole Poblano, a sauce that combines notes of chocolate, chiles and spices, creating the perfect balance of flavors. In addition, it is accompanied by handmade mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables that add a fresh and crunchy touch.
Which makes this dish a true delight for the senses!
Our next stop is the specialty of our kitchen, the Tequila Shrimp. These Caribbean shrimp are sautéed and flamed to give them an incomparable flavor.
Releasing aromas and flavors that will transport you directly to the coast. They are served in a creamy tequila sauce that enhances the natural flavors of the shrimp. Therefore, you can be sure that every bite is an explosion of freshness and flavor that will leave you wanting more.
For those who wish to explore the wonders of Yucatecan cuisine in a single dish, we present the Yucatán Trilogy. A dish that will let you discover the authentic flavors of the region, as it includes a Panucho, a Salbute and an Empanada, each prepared with fresh and authentic ingredients will allow you to enjoy a little bit of everything.
The Panucho and the Salbute are little gems of Yucatecan gastronomy, while the Empanada is a unique creation of our chef, together they form a trio of flavors ideal for celebrating International Chef’s Day in Yucatán!
If you’re looking for something lighter, one of our best dishes to commemorate International Chef’s Day is the magnificent Pischán Salad, a unique experience that combines freshness and flavor in every bite. Best of all? It’s an original recipe from the Itzincab brothers.
Fresh chaya and spinach leaves provide color and essential nutrients. While juicy, flavorful grilled chicken adds to the mix, along with nutty, crispy bacon to add intriguing flavors.
But what really makes this salad special is the homemade sauce “mil islas” that accompanies it. It’s a perfect choice for those looking for a healthy dish that’s full of flavor and texture.
For Yucatecan food lovers, we present Ticuleño Chicken, an adaptation of the traditional recipe for the famous Motuleño eggs.
In this dish, a juicy breaded chicken breast is bathed in tomato sauce with a touch of finely chopped turkey ham, topped with cheese on a bed of fried corn tortilla and stuffed with beans flavored with epazote.
For this reason, we consider it the ideal dish to experience Yucatecan cuisine but with a special and different touch. So if you visit Pischán Restaurant we suggest you try this signature dish, you won’t find it anywhere else!
Finally, we end our culinary feast with Poc Chuc Maní, one of the best pork dishes in the world. It is known throughout the region for its smoky flavor, and for having a tender and juicy texture inside.
But if we have to highlight the best of Poc Chuc, it is its marinade, since it makes use of sour orange juice and other elements of the region to highlight its flavors. For example, red onion, black pepper, sauces and exquisite handmade tortillas.
The delicious contrast of textures and flavors are elements that contribute to a much more pleasurable dining experience.
As you can see, the creations and specialties of Pischán Restaurant are so varied that they adapt to anyone’s tastes. However, the experience does not end there, since in addition to our exquisite dishes, you can also complement your visit with a delicious signature mixology.
Our cocktails are made with regional liquors, such as nixtamal corn and the legitimate Xtabentún, Nance or Hierbabuena liquor. We also have a selection of craft beers from the region, such as Tulum, Patito, Mundo Maya, among others, which highlight the unique flavors of our cuisine.
For all this and more, you can’t miss the opportunity to visit Pischán Restaurant. To celebrate International Chef’s Day in the best way, do not hesitate to call the direct line 998 342 0198, or if you prefer, book through the website.
